Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam Verse 2

Poo taat maa Param aatmaa Cha
Muktaa Naam Para maa Gatihi

Avya yah Puru sha Saak shi
Kshey tra gnyno Kshara Eva Cha

Translation:

Pootatma
One who is the purest soul

Parama atma
One who is the greatest soul
12
Muktha naam Paramaa Gathi
One who is the ultimate goal of all liberated souls
13
Avyaya
One who cannot be destroyed (eternal)
14
Purusha
One who dwells in every body
15
Saakshi
One who is witnesses everything
16
Kshetragna
He who knows the body and its experiences
17
Akshara
He who is eternal and indestructible

This verse describes Lord Vishnu as the one who is the purest soul (Pootaatma) and the greatest soul (Param aatma) and One who is sought as the ultimate goal of all liberated souls. He is one who cannot be destroyed (Avyaya), one who is in every body and witnesses everything and One whose greatness never diminishes.

Om Vish vam Vishnur Vashat  kaaro

Bhootha Bhavya Bhavat Pra bhuh

Bhootha kruth Bhootha Bhrud Bhaavo
Bhoot aatma Bhoota Bhaa vanaha

Translation:

Universe

Vishnu
One who is everywhere

Vashat kaara
One who controls and directs everything

Bhootha Bhavya Bhavat Prabhu
One who is the master of past, present and future

Bhoota krit
Creator of all beings

Bhoota brud
One who takes care of  all the beings
7
Bhava
One who exists always
8
Bhoot aatma
One who is soul of all beings
9
Bhoota bhavana
One who nourishes all beings

This verse describes Lord Vishnu as the one who is the Universe(Vishvam) and controls and directs it (Vashatkaara). He is the Lord (Prabhu) of the past (Bhuta), future (Bhavya) and present (Bhavath). He is the creator of all beings (Bhuta-krit), preserver of all (Bhuta-bhrid), is the soul of all beings (Bhootatma) and nourishes all that he has created (Bhoota Bhaavanaha).
